Radici Novacips and Tessiture Pietro Radici awarded Certiquality Certificates of Excellence for quality, environmental and safety management systems

During the official award ceremony held at the RadiciGroup headquarters in Gandino, Bergamo, Certiquality Certificates of Excellence were presented to two important Italian companies of the Group: Radici Novacips SpA, head company of the RadiciGroup Plastics Business Area, and Tessiture Pietro Radici SpA, an ancestral Group company.

Certiquality is an accredited organization created in 1989 by Federchimica and Assolombarda to provide corporate quality, environmental and safety management system certification, as well as product certification. This international certificate was awarded to the two companies by Certiquality in recognition of their achievement and successful integration of the certification of their Quality (ISO 9001), Environmental (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) Management Systems and their voluntary commitment to responsible corporate governance.
Among the attendees who took part in the award ceremony were Umberto Chiminazzo, general manager of Certiquality; Alessandro Sassi, industry manager of Certiquality; and RadiciGroup top executives and quality, environment and safety managers.

“Quality, environment and safety are heartfelt issues at RadiciGroup,” Dr. Chiminazzo said. “The Group has distinguished itself in the field of environmental sustainability, as demonstrated by the results achieved. I am therefore proud to present these two RadiciGroup firms with an award that, as of today, has been given to only a small fraction of exemplary companies in recognition of their excellence. Fewer than 1% of the 25,000 companies tracked by our organization have received a Certificate of Excellence.”

Great satisfaction was expressed for the achievement by Maurizio Radici, vice president and COO of RadiciGroup: ”I am really proud of the work that our Group has done and continues to do in the field of quality, environment and safety. Recognitions such as the ones we received today acknowledge the concrete commitment of our companies to developing, implementing and improving our quality, environmental and workplace safety management systems. These are all indispensable components if we want to ensure the sustainability of our industrial activities and be truly competitive in world markets.”

In his presentation, Stefano Alini, corporate quality manager of RadiciGroup, gave an account of the Group’s journey towards achieving quality, environmental and safety management system certification and system integration at all Italian sites, wherever possible. “Today more than ever before, our challenge is continuous, sustainable improvement,“ said Mr. Alini. “This means considering all the dimensions of sustainability: environmental, safety, economic and social. We believe this kind of approach will tangibly help us define a strategy that will allow us to remain competitive in the long term.”

Presentations on the work done over the years on quality, environment, health and safety at the two award recipient companies were given by Paola Panzeri, quality manager of Tessiture Pietro Radici; Flavio Bonandrini, environment and safety manager of Tessiture Pietro Radici; and Claudio Belotti, environment and safety manager of Radici Novacips.
