The Specialty Chemicals business area produces chemical intermediates and polyamide polymers.
This business area specialises in the production of chemical intermediates, including adipic acid, hexamethylenediamine, polyamide polymers and specialty polymers, including bio-based versions.
The Specialty Chemicals business area has two major production sites in Europe.
The RadiciGroup site in Novara is the hub of the Group's chemical operations. It covers an area of more than 350,000 square metres and focuses mainly on the production of polyamide 66 and intermediates and other special polymers.
The Zeitz plant in Germany is a leading example of innovation and advanced technology. It specialises in the production of adipic acid, a key chemical intermediate in the production process of polyamide polymers. This plant is equipped with an EnviNOx system, which significantly reduced its direct greenhouse gas emissions (-92%) in the period 2011-2023.
The collaboration between Radici InNova and the R&D teams is fundamental to the development of innovative solutions for applications across specific industries via a continuous exchange of expertise and skills. This synergistic approach enables high-performance solutions to be developed, in line with the Group’s sustainability strategy and the principles of circular economy, as well as facilitating the constant growth of the Group.
