Geoenergie is a qualified supplier of electricity and natural gas, with a focus on the development of specific projects and initiatives in the renewable energy sector.
Geoenergie is a company that can provide a range of consultancy services, including the management and promotion of energy saving initiatives, the management of quotas and rights for CO2 atmospheric emissions, the trading of energy efficiency certificates (white certificates) and the provision of Guarantees of Origin from Renewable Energy Sources (GO) and the related management of requirements. The company can also help to identify the best electricity and gas supply proposals.
Geoenergie is also active in the Italian Power Exchange (IPEX), as well as in the trading and sale of electricity and natural gas.
In addition, Geoenergie can also provide companies with timely information regarding the latest updates to regulations, evaluate opportunities for savings, optimise the operation of plants from an economic and environmental perspective, and analyse the feasibility of new production plants or the upgrade of existing facilities.
Our products
Renewable energy
By promoting the use of renewable sources, Geoenergie is a key part of Europe’s energy transition, helping to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. A concrete example is the supply of certified hydroelectric power to RadiciGroup plants. Through its partnership with Geogreen, it provides customers with 100% renewable energy, certified as being from hydroelectric and solar sources.
Cogeneration
Geoenergie manages the sale of the energy and steam produced by the Novel high-efficiency cogeneration plant in Novara. In operation since 2004, the plant is CAR-qualified (the Italian acronym which refers to high-efficiency cogeneration), and uses natural gas-fuelled combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) technology.
Steam
Geoenergie markets the steam produced by the Novel power plant in combination with electricity. The steam supplies energy to Radici Chimica Spa and the entire Novara industrial complex.
Gas
Geoenergie is a wholesaler within the Italian natural gas market. It procures, trades and markets natural gas to industrial customers, in its capacity as a company authorised to sell to end customers.
High efficiency operations at the service of the environment
Cogeneration, for the highest energy efficiency standards
Geoenergie manages the sale of the energy and steam produced by the Novel cogeneration plant, a high-efficiency facility located in Novara. The plant, established in 2004, is qualified as a High Yield Cogeneration (CAR) facility, according to the highest energy efficiency standards. Fuelled by methane gas, it consists of a plant for the combined production of electricity and steam (cogeneration), based on modern turbo gas combined cycle technology (DLN Dry Low NOx 2.6).

Energy markets, incentives and certification tools
The company supports customers in managing their energy requirements, trading White Certificates and Guarantees of Origin from renewable sources, benefiting from incentives managed by the GSE and supporting them in Emission Trading activities linked to the trading of CO2 quotas in accordance with European mechanisms.

Regulatory, plant engineering and energy efficiency consulting
Geoenergie supports companies by providing consultancy services on updates to regulations, evaluations of the feasibility of new plants or the upgrading of existing ones, analysis of the economic and environmental performance of facilities, and the promotion of energy-saving initiatives and the selection of the best electricity and gas supply proposals.

Geoenergie supports its energy/gas intensive customers through the entire process of successfully obtaining the various benefits offered under current legislation, as well as supporting customers on their journey towards energy efficiency.

ETS market
Geoenergie is qualified for transactions in the ETS market, in order to support RadiciGroup in the Emissions Trading System, taking advantage of its position in the sale or purchase of CO2 allowances (EUAs) at the best market conditions.
