RadiciGroup at SamuPlast: collaboration with customers at centre stage.

From 3 to 6 February 2016, SamuPlast, the exhibition of excellence for technology, machinery and plastic materials, took place once again in Pordenone, Italy. Among the 490 exhibitors at the show was RadiciGroup Plastics.

The 12th edition of SamuPlast was a particularly important event for RadiciGroup, which showcased its range of products in collaboration with its customer and partner Electro-Parts SpA – a leading manufacturer of a wide range of electric motors for the automotive, electrical/electronics and home/office automation sectors –, and EPF Automation – a major company with over 50 years’ experience in the industrial automation and renewable energy sectors and official importer of Toshiba Machine full-electric presses for Italy and other Mediterranean countries.

“Customers are always at the centre of our new development projects,” said Erico Spini, Marketing & Application Development Director Europe of RadiciGroup Plastics. “We establish a close collaboration with them and carry on a constant exchange of ideas that translates into co-design, customized technical support and assistance. The goal is to develop materials that will allow our customers to make products with the best performance and characteristics according their specific application requirements. Our Radilon® A RV350 HHR, one of the specialities on display at SamuPlast, is a clear example of that kind of material.”

“At the Pordenone show,” said Andrea Panelli, of RadiciGroup Plastics Technical Service & Market Development, ”we brought to the market’s attention our range of high-performance, high-heat resistant specialities, among which 35% glass-fibre filled Radilon® A RV350 HHR. The latter polyamide 6.6 material was designed to meet the requirements of a customer who needed to realize a brush holder for electric motors for automotive interior compartment ventilation, a part with application specific high-performance requirements, first of all, high heat resistance.

The centre piece of the EPF, Electro-Parts and RadiciGroup stand at SamuPlast was the Toshiba Machine EC130SX injection moulding press, exhibited by Toshiba Machine in collaboration with Fluid Service Srl, a provider of after-sales assistance services for hydraulic and full-electric presses.  At SamuPlast, a real life demonstration was conducted showing the moulding of a technical component developed by Electro-Parts using RadiciGroup’s Radilon® A RV350 HHR. The piece was then unloaded by an anthropomorphic robot installed on board the machine.
