| RadiciGroup showcases Radifloor®, Radigreen® and Radilon® at Domotex |
At Domotex 2010 (Hannover, 16-19 January) RadiciGroup is presenting its enhanced ranges: Radifloor® PA 6 and PA 66 BCF yarn – Radifloor® Contract, Radifloor® Residential, Radifloor® Solid, Radifloor® Space and Radifloor® Automotive; Radigreen® yarn, used to manufacture synthetic turf for sports fields, landscaping and decorative applications; and Radilon® PA 6 staple fibre with solution-dyed colours – new this year.
Radifloor®…
These RadiciGroup yarns, which are available in a wide variety of weights, counts, colours, lustres, and dye affinities, are designed to boost the performance of finished goods, increase brightness and colourfastness, reduce electrostatic build-up and improve safety. Radifloor® yarns offer high performance properties: they are anti-UV (especially resistant to fading caused by ultraviolet rays), antistatic (preventing the build-up of static electricity in carpet), antibacterial, high-tenacity and highly resistant to wear and tear.
Worth special mention is the key new product to be officially launched on the occasion of Domotex: the Radifloor® Solid collection of solution-dyed PA 6 BCF for the contract sector, with more than 100 colours in 1300 dtex with 48 filaments. This new RadiciGroup yarn range features excellent colour uniformity, light fastness and resistance, deriving from the special properties of the pigments added during the spinning process. Thanks to the production technology used, Radifloor® Solid respects and safeguards the environment. Since the yarn is coloured during the spinning stage — pigment is added to the polymer during extrusion — the yarn on the bobbin is ready for tufting. No additional dying is needed.
Radigreen®…
This polyolefin and polyamide yarn for the manufacture of synthetic turf for sports fields, landscaping and decorative applications, is the result of the Group’s many years of experience in the artificial grass field. The Radigreen® range includes Radigreen® FF PE and Radigreen® SF PE polyethylene yarn, Radigreen® MT PE monotape, Radigreen® MFL PA polyamide monofilament and Radigreen® MFL PE, polyethylene monofilament. For the next sports season RadiciGroup has recently developed new and exclusive Radigreen® MFL PE shapes. The Radigreen® range also includes Radigreen® KDK and TXT polyethylene and polypropylene yarn and Radigreen® PP polypropylene yarn.
Radilon®…
During Domotex, RadiciGroup is presenting its expanded range of Radilon® PA 6 staple fibre with solution-dyed colours – new this year. The production technology utilized for the new products ensures safety and environmental protection: Radilon® solution-dyed PA 6 staple fibre is coloured during extrusion, the initial stage of the production process, and thus no further finishing processes are needed. This means a significant savings in water usage and treatment costs. In manufacturing its products, RadiciGroup is constantly committed to defining objectives and environmental targets, by implementing a management system capable of preventing and effectively dealing with the most significant environmental impacts from the various activities carried on at its production sites.
