What is PLA?
PLA is a polymer made from lactic acid, a natural product found in the body, yogurt and many other foods. Lactic acid comes from fermented sugars. For PLA industrial production usually sugars needed during the process are extracted from plants already used in agriculture for other purposes. This makes PLA a highly ecologic 100% recyclable product that can substitute petrol in many applications.

Ingeo™ is produced from polylactic resin (PLA). Ingeo™ Bio Polymer is synthesized from corn, a natural, regenerable and renewable raw material. Ingeo™ is 100% biodegradable therefore the product guaranties total respect of environment and highest sustainability standards in raw white and solution dyed versions.
